I'm newly back after a few years off and things have changed quite a bit I see. I got the whole "Mastery" thing I think, I was sword so now I'm heavy weapons which seems to have made some swords light or finesse weapons instead. Does that mean there are heavy weapon maces or axes I could use? Also I don't seem to be doing nearly as much damage as I used to. Took Cormell back to his last life stone, some beach place with lots of reed sharks, wave golems and other 150+ stuff and was getting my butt kicked like I didn't belong there but I remember tearing up that place before. I tried the "free weapon" think from the dude in Arwic but that doesn't seem to make much difference.

Last time I played was 2009.... came back for the 10 year anniversary. Can anyone give me a bit of a recap, or at let let me know what I am now looking for in terms of weapons, armor and buffs? Some of my weapons seem to have disappeared as some of my slots were empty but it could be that I left them in my house chest for some reason when I last stopped playing and they're just gone now. Don't remember.

Anyway, any input would be helpful.

I love the dual wield lugian ax guy. The little sword and shield is funny too.

They also mention that working in upscaling armor/weapons for Lugians could drive changes for Gear Knights too. I can thank my sons for introducing me to AC

They made me a war mage and named her 'Magic Ma' and insisted I try to play her. I had NO idea how to play her and she ended up getting deleted and Murron was born

Murron was a 'support mage' and that suited me and my sensibilities.

If it had not been for my sons introducing me to Asheron's Call, I never would have posted on Elder's Monarchy board when my computer went kaput.

I remember posting (using my son's computer):

'SOS...Anyone with any computer know-how...I need help!!!'

Tacit was one of several folks that responded Little did he know what answering a few questions would lead to I could not ask for a more perfect husband! Thank You God



So as you can see, AC has always held a very special place in my heart

The people that play AC are outstanding...just THE BEST! I have heard that from so many returning players...about the AC community. People have remarked on the unbelievable generosity of this game's players. That is what has always floated my boat...is this game's player base. The REAL people behind the characters.

But just as Real Life changes, so has this game. All of us have been thru many changes over the years. Many of these changes have turned out to be for the betterment of the overall game but the major changes that came in February have given me pause.

One of the things that has always been so awesome about AC is the casualness of it. After 12 years, I could log in a character and quest or help someone out of a sticky situation with ease. With the changes in RL and with AC, I no longer have the time or inclination to 'fix' nearly a dozen accounts.

All are now unsubbed except three. Good news...Rydia is safe for now

I logged in for the first time on Aiyaruk this eve (former sword character) and she was in the middle of KT's summoning and in my haste to get her out of harm's way, she dropped her bloodscorch sword on the ground (her main pack became FULL once the book was placed there). To some this is a minor detail. Add this to the rare spear that we leveled for 50 levels that is no longer viable...with all my ua characters that have worthless weapons...yada yada yada...

I know I am not alone and I guess what I am saying is that at the moment... I just do not have the energy.

I miss you all and hope that one day soon, my feelings will change. All THE BEST! Truly...
